FIRST AID AT WORK (FAW) LEVEL 3 (QCF)

This 3 day course allows loads of time for practical senarios and informative discussion. It is designed for higher risk working environments.

Compliance and Regulatory Requirements:  
This Qualification provides learners with skills and knowledge to deal with all types of first aid situations in the workplace. The qualification is for the purposes of the Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981 and the Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations (NI) 1982. However it is also highly relevant for a wide range of first aid situations.

The AoFAQ Level 3 First Aid at Work is a Regulated Qualification which removes the requirements for the Employer to carry out due diligence on the training provider.

EMERGENCY FIRST AID AT WORK LEVEL 2 (QCF)

Compliance and Regulatory Requirements:
This Qualification provides learners with skills and knowledge to deal with first aid situations in low risk workplace environments or workplaces with a low number of employees. (See Level 3 First Aid at Work for higher risk or larger number of employees) The qualification is for the purposes of the Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981 and the Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations (NI) 1982.

The AoFAQ Level Emergency First Aid at Work is a Regulated Qualification which removes the requirements for the Employer to carry out due diligence on the training provider.

PAEDIATRIC FIRST AID LEVEL 3 (QCF)

Our most popular Paediatric course and a must for anyone working with children. It's not about the certificate it's about gaining real confidence to deal medical emergencies.

Compliance and Regulatory Requirements: 

The AoFAQ Paediatrics First Aid regulated qualification is specific to infants aged under 1, and children aged from 1 year old to the onset of puberty.  It fulfils the requirements of the statutory framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) as issued by the department for Education and Skills Foundation Stage relating to Early Years childcare.

It is suitable for school staff, childcare providers, child minders in schools, nursery schools, pre-schools and staff involved in child minding.

This Level 3 qualification is an extended version of the Emergency Paediatric First Aid.

The AoFAQ Emergency Paediatrics First Aid is a standalone qualification, it also forms Unit 1 of the AoFAQ Paediatrics First Aid qualification. Where Unit 2 is completed within 10 weeks, this qualifications can be converted to the AoFAQ Paediatrics First Aid Qualification. Which fulfils the requirements of the statutory framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) as issued by the department for Education and Skills Foundation Stage relating to Early Years childcare.

Level 3 Award in The First Person on Scene

The AoFAQ Level 3 Award in The First Person on Scene Intermediate (RQF) qualification has been designed to provide the knowledge and skills to stabilise a patient for up to forty minutes until an ambulance or other pre-hospital care provider arrives. The knowledge and skills taught as part of the course are designed for the first person at the scene to intervene within a scope of practice to utilise life saving interventions to preserve life and prevent deterioration of the patient. 

This qualification is the foundation for AoFAQ’s suite of Pre-Hospital Care qualifications and enables progression up to a Level 4 Diploma. 

Clinically endorsed by the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh, Faculty of Pre-Hospital Care (FPHC) Clinical endorsement of the qualification is by the Faculty of Pre-Hospital Care, Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh and the Association of First Aiders. The qualification meets Grade descriptor C of the faculty of pre hospital care, pre hospital emergency medicine skills framework

Level 2 Activity First Aid (QCF)

The aim of the qualification is to provide learners with the knowledge and skills to manage a casualty in the outdoor and activity based environments who requires emergency care until further assistance from the emergency services can be obtained.


This qualification is aimed at anyone who requires a first aid qualification which covers additional training for working in the outdoor and activity based sectors.

Level 2 Award in Emergency First Aid for Drivers (CPC) Qualification Information

Compliance and Regulatory Requirements:

 

This qualification is aimed at anyone who requires a first aid qualification for working in the driving industry.

 

The aim of the course is to provide learners with the knowledge and skills to undertake the role of an emergency first aider in the driving and low risk work environment.

 

The syllabus is comprehensive and covers a diverse content recommended for the CPC.
The teaching time is a minimum of 7 hours and the qualification is valid for 3 years. 

 

Note: This qualification can be converted to the Emergency First Aid at Work qualification to meet the requirements of the HSE First Aid Regulations for the workplace.*
